West Middleton Lutheran Church offers three inspiring worship opportunities each weekend. Worship is key to supporting our mission where we are powered by Word, Sacrament, and Spirit to be Jesus' work force in the world.
Our Saturday night service ministers to our community members who must work or otherwise can not attend services in Sunday mornings. These services are an abbreviated version of our Sunday 8:30 am services.
Using the historic outline of Gathering, Word, Meal or Prayer, and Sending this worship opportunity uses a variety of classic hymns and more contemporary music to build our faith. This service also features our dynamic chancel choir.
This is our most contemporary worship opportunity lead by our Pioneer Praise team.
We offer three different worship experiences to take part in (summer worship has two services, 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday). All are welcome to attend, come as you are. Practicing Jesus' hospitality we celebrate Holy Communion on the first and third weekend of each month in way that is open to all the baptized. You are welcome no matter who you are. We offer both wine and grape juice at all services. Gluten free bread is available on request. The 5th Sunday is our Service for Healing. Your family is always welcome here. During both our Sunday services a staffed nursery is available.
All adults are invited to be a part of the choir. Practice takes place on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm
Congratulations on your engagement! At West Middleton Lutheran Church we wish to help you in the building up of your marriage in a faithful way. To help you get started in your marriage in a positive way we strongly recommend premarital counseling as a key preparation for your wedding day.
Please plan on contacting the church at least four months prior to your wedding date. This will allow things to go much smoother.
The premarital counseling sessions normally involve four one hour sessions. We also need to schedule one session for planning your wedding service.
These sessions will also give us an opportunity to get to know one another, and this will make for a much better wedding ceremony. Second, it will enable you to discuss issues that will play a central role in your marriage -- common values, hopes and dreams, children, religious background and spiritual convictions. Third, it will enable you to talk about marriage in general and your wedding service in particular.
Remember, your wedding is the start of a life-long commitment and to help you build a strong foundation. Please contact the church office for more information and our complete wedding policies and planning brochure.

Baptism is God’s gift of overwhelming grace. Baptism is a once in a life-time event and is available to persons of all ages. Preparing for such a gift requires a time of instruction and nurture in the faith for a life of discipleship. To a life of faith in Jesus Christ we welcome both individuals and the children of active Christian parents to this great sacrament. We encourage sponsors to assist those being baptized both as they prepare for baptism and as they become Jesus’ disciples. We look forward to your or your child’s baptism as we gather together with the congregation for the celebration of Baptism within the worship life of West Middleton Lutheran Church.
